Basketball Recap: General McLane Takes a Loss

General McLane lost against Iroquois back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The General McLane Lancers fell to the Iroquois Braves 62-58.

Leading Iroquois to victory were Cajohn Howard and Kellen Burroughs. Howard went 7 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 31 points, while Burroughs dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 boards. Those 31 points gave Howard a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Orlando Brown, who posted six points.

General McLane has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Iroquois, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. General McLane will host Fairview at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Iroquois, they will be playing at home against North East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
