We already zoned in on the Top 10 quarterbacks in the Class of 2021 and up next: the Top 10 running backs.

Eight different states are represented with Texas and North Carolina having multiple players featured. California, Georgia, Florida, Michigan, Alabama and Virginia each have one running back.

Half of the field already has committed to a Power 5 school — Ohio State (two), Oregon, Auburn and Miami.

Top 10 Running Backs from Class of 2021



Led Panthers to last year's state semifinals for the first time since 2004. The 4-star running back rushed for over 1,600 yards and 20 touchdowns against the best competition in the Peach State.

Rushed for nearly 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns during his sophomore season and was on track for a huge junior campaign before an injury limited him to three games in 2019. The Auburn pledge had 52 carries for 485 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.

The 4-star running back already has nearly 40 FBS offers and rushed for nearly 2,000 yards. Johnson accounted for 38 total touchdowns in 2019 while leading the Bobcats to an 11-1 record.

The first of two Ohio State commits is one of the most well-rounded backs in the country. He had over 1,100 yards on the ground and 11 scores while adding 38 receptions for nearly 700 yards and eight touchdowns.

A first team Junior All-American selection after eclipsing the 2,000-yard mark with 28 touchdowns. The 2021 Miami commit lead the Lions to a third consecutive state title, rushing for a championship-game record 328 yards in a 35-20 win over Florida State University (Tallahassee).

Checks in as a Top 40 player overall on 247sports composite rankings. Rushed for over 1,500 yards with 500 yards receiving to go with 25 total touchdowns.

The 5-star was named the District 10-6A MVP as a junior and has rushed for over 3,000 yards and 40 touchdowns during his prep career.

The 2021 Oregon commit sat out his junior season but showed why he's one of the game's best during his sophomore campaign. Had over 1,000 all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns to go with 100 tackles and two interceptions. Expect huge numbers from him this season for the Inland Empire power.

The North Carolina Gatorade Football Player of the Year played a major role for the 3AA state champs. He rushed for over 2,000 yards and 30 touchdowns. The No. 1 rated all-purpose back in the country also led the team with 582 yards receiving and eight more scores.

Committed to Ohio State last week after a huge junior campaign. He ran for nearly 2,500 yards and accounted for 53 total touchdowns en route to being named the Virginia Gatorade Football Player of the Year in 2019.
