Baseball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

If Skyline was feeling good fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Shelley on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Idaho Falls Tigers by a score of 8-7 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-1 defeat back in March.

Spencer Greene led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Skyline is 2-1 when Greene posts three or more hits, but 10-12 otherwise. Truman Sermon was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Skyline now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Idaho Falls, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-10-1.

Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Idaho Falls, they will head out to challenge Bonneville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bees' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
