Softball Game Preview: Lewis Cass Kings vs. Peru Tigers

Lewis Cass is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Wednesday. They will face off against the Peru Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Lewis Cass is looking for their season's first win.

Lewis Cass is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell 11-7 to Oak Hill on Tuesday.

Shay Dishner was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those home runs marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Hubner, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Peru's offense. They lost 11-0 to Marion on Tuesday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Peru's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lewis Cass, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Lewis Cass came up short against Peru in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, falling 3-0. Can the Kings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
