Volleyball Recap: Bartlett Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Bartlett duked it out with Lakeland Preparatory on Thursday. The Panthers fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 25-19 in the first set.

Bartlett started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 21-25, 25-20, 25-10, 15-12.

Their offense was headlined by Maci Renfroe and Hailey Brown, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Emerson Berkes and her 22 assists. Kailee Almeria controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Madelynn Chauffe was a one-woman wrecking crew For Lakeland Preparatory. as she had 16 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Chauffe has posted since back in September of 2024.

Bartlett dropped their record down to 10-21 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Lakeland Preparatory, their win bumped their record up to 16-12.

Bartlett didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Brighton on the 6th. As for Lakeland Preparatory, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Bolton on the 6th.
