Baseball Recap: Minico Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Minico's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Sandy Pioneers on Friday. The Spartans' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Minico got a good showing from Kam Rutschke, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

Minico's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. Sandy has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Minico will challenge Emmett at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Minico is facing Emmett at the right time seeing as Emmett is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Sandy, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-0 win against Borah on the 21st.
