Soccer Game Preview: Queens Teaching vs. Goddard Communications Arts & Tech

The Queens Teaching Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Goddard Communications Arts & Tech Jaguars at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Queens Teaching is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Queens School Of Inquiry on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Owls by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Queens Teaching can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 320th, while Queens School Of Inquiry are ranked 127th).

Meanwhile, Goddard Communications Arts & Tech made easy work of Epic North on Tuesday and carried off a 7-1 win. Goddard Communications Arts & Tech might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by four goals or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Goddard Communications Arts & Tech and bumps their season record up to 5-0-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those two matchups. As for Queens Teaching, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Queens Teaching might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Goddard Communications Arts & Tech when the teams last played back in September. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
