Softball Recap: Mchenry Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

McHenry entered their tilt with Central on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Rockets with a sharp 8-0 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Central's batters probably weren't too happy with Brooke Snyder, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 14 Ks (she gave up zero walks). Snyder has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Danica McCarthy, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Elly Ernst, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

McHenry always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

McHenry now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McHenry will face off against Hampshire at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Central, they will challenge Stillman Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
