Notasulga has gone 9-0 against Verbena recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Notasulga Blue Devils will look to defend their home court against the Verbena Red Devils at 6:30 p.m. Notasulga has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.

Last Monday, Notasulga was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to Autauga Academy.

Meanwhile, Verbena won against Autaugaville on Monday with 57 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Verbena snuck past Fayetteville with a 57-53 victory. The score was all tied up 30-30 at the break, but the Red Devils were the better team in the second half.

Verbena's win came from a few key players Notasulga will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Caleb Short, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 13 points and six rebounds. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Kamari Ceasar was another key player, putting up 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

The win made it two in a row for Verbena and bumps their season record up to 4-8. As for Notasulga, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Notasulga didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Verbena in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 50-44 victory.
