The Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Spartans will take on the Hillside Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
On Friday, Southern School of Energy and Sustainability blew past Riverside-Durham, posting a 42-14 victory. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Pirates are ranked 329th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kamari Holloway produced another solid performance rushing for 212 yards and two TDs on only 15 carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 113.1 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Dillon, who rushed for 35 yards and one score.
Southern School of Energy and Sustainability's run defense was locked in: Riverside-Durham could only muster 0.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Lance Henderson for the heroic effort on defense: he. Southern School of Energy and Sustainability didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 12.8.
Southern School of Energy and Sustainability's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Meanwhile, Hillside entered their tilt with Chapel Hill on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Tigers 24-3. Considering the Hornets have won four matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Hillside didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Erick Bonner and Semaj Smith. Another thorn in Chapel Hill's side was Jaylen Starks, who made 15 total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Southern School of Energy and Sustainability's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Hillside, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
