Hanover is a perfect 10-0 against Highland Springs since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Hawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Springers at 6:00 p.m. Hanover will be strutting in after a win while Highland Springs will be coming in after a defeat.

On Friday, Hanover beat Atlee 8-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

The team relied heavily on Kaileigh Byars, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Willow Dickenson, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Hanover hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Highland Springs lost 15-8 to Freeman on Wednesday. The Springers have struggled against the Mavericks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Ashlynne Porter was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Dejhonae Sangster was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The victory got Hanover back to even at 3-3. As for Highland Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Hanover took their win against Highland Springs in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
