Recap: Platte Canyon Huskies vs. Strasburg Indians
After a string of eight wins, The Platte Canyon Huskies''s good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were outmatched by Strasburg at home and fell 47-8. The low total for Platte Canyon limited their streak of high-flying scores to eight in a row.
Kamron Skouge rushed for 44 yards and a touchdown.
Landen Martin was his usual excellent self, rushing for 134 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Martin was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards. Another player making a difference was Thomas Devlin, who rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Platte Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-1. As for Strasburg, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Platte Canyon will face off against Holyoke at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Holyoke is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Strasburg, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against North Fork at 1:00 p.m.
