After a string of ten wins, L.C. Bird's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They fell just short of the Fleming Colonels by a score of  53-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  loss the Skyhawks have suffered  since February 13, 2024.
 Despite the  defeat, L.C. Bird had strong showings from  Kamari Simon, who  shot 55% from the field en route to 17  points in addition to five  boards and four  steals, and  Kylie Kent, who  went 5-for-7  on her way to 15 points along with seven  rebounds and four  blocks. Simon is  on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games she's  played.
 It was another big night for  Amari Worsham, who  went 10-for-17  to rack up 26  points in addition to seven  rebounds and four  steals for Fleming.  Zakyah King was another key player,  putting up eight points along with six  boards and five  steals.
L.C. Bird's loss dropped their record down to 22-6. As for Fleming, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 18 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record  this season.
 L.C. Bird does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fleming, they will take on Princess Anne at 12:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Princess Anne will roll in looking for their  28th straight  victory, something Fleming surely won't give up without a fight.
