Baseball Recap: Alta Hawks vs. Timpanogos Timberwolves
Alta extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Timpanogos Timberwolves. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 5-0 to the Timberwolves when the teams met back in May of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Alta handed starting duties to Tatum Johnson, who gave a strong showing despite the result: he struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off only one hit. That one hit allowed gave Johnson a new career-low.

On the hitting side, McCoy Johnson made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times he's played. Abel Velador also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
