Basketball Game Preview: Broadwater Bulldogs vs. Jefferson Panthers

Broadwater is 0-10 against Jefferson since February of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Broadwater Bulldogs will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Jefferson Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Back in December of 2024, Broadwater ended up a good deal behind West Yellowstone and lost 41-26. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Jefferson unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Ennis by a score of 55-52. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Mustangs are ranked eighth).

Broadwater will need focus on slowing down Cameron Toney, one of several Jefferson players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 12 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryian Eveland, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 10 points and six rebounds.

Broadwater's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Jefferson, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.
