Football Recap: York County Tech Falls to James Buchanan in First Game of Season

York County Tech unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the James Buchanan Rockets and fell 60-13. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Alex Brake went supernova For James Buchanan., rushing for 123 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries. Those 123 rushing yards gave Brake a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Hunter Egli, who rushed for 63 yards and one score.

Coming up, York County Tech is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Kutztown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for James Buchanan, they will welcome Susquenita at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Rockets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
