This season hasn't been kind to the Continental Pirates, who are still winless after their eighth match. They were outmatched by Patrick Henry at home and fell 63-15. Continental was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-6.
Morgan Shock was Continental's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Ella Siefer held things down on the boards with 11 rebounds.
Patrick Henry's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kya Seemann, who scored 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. Carys Crossland was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Continental bumped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Patrick Henry, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Continental will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Upper Scioto Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
