Baseball Recap: Selma Drops Season-High Score on Immanuel

Selma not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 19, 2024. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Immanuel Eagles. The Bears' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jacob Hernandez was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Matheo Roque also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Selma's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Immanuel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Selma will head out to face off against Morro Bay at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Morro Bay will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Selma surely won't give up without a fight. As for Immanuel, they have already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Golden Valley on the 27th.
