Basketball Recap: Orr Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

If Schurz wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Orr, they should've done a better job of containing Nia Crawford. The Orr Spartans breezed by the Schurz Bulldogs to the tune of 50-16 on Saturday thanks in part to Crawford, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Carmani Sharkey, who posted 14 points in addition to six boards and six steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last four games she's played.

Orr's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.8 points per game. As for Schurz, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orr will square off against Lincoln Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Orr is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season. As for Schurz, they will face off against Prosser at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
