Elizabeth and Kent Denver are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2016, but not for long. The Cardinals will host the Sun Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Elizabeth knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Kent Denver likes a good challenge.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Elizabeth against Englewood as the squad secured a 42-14 victory. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Elizabeth had a senior duo take command as Griffin Widhalm threw for 72 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Tristan McCray rushed for 70 yards and one TD on only six carries.

Elizabeth's run defense was locked in: Englewood could only muster 3.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Landon Edwards for the heroic effort on defense: he. Elizabeth hasn't allowed more than 6.4 yards per carry in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last seven contests, Kent Denver finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They lost 33-7 to Strasburg. The matchup marked the Sun Devils' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Kent Denver fell to 7-1. As for Elizabeth, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Elizabeth was able to grind out a solid win over Kent Denver in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, winning 28-21. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Sun Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
