After a string of three wins, the Emmanuel Christian Academy Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Legacy Christian Academy. If Emmanuel Christian Academy hoped to take revenge for the 51-36 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Legacy Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Parker Burke led the charge by scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Burke continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jacob Thompson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds.
Emmanuel Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Emmanuel Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Dayton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for Legacy Christian Academy, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Saturday.
