Basketball Recap: Claude Comes Up Short

Claude was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the McLean Tigers and fell 63-36. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-24 back in January.

McLean was led to victory by Collin Alston and Jayvon Salazar. Alston went 8 of 17 on his way to 20 points along with seven rebounds and five steals, while Salazar dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards. The contest was Alston's 13th in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Hagler, who posted six points.

Claude's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for McLean, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Claude does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McLean, they will square off against Stratford at 4:00 p.m. on February 15th.
