Softball Recap: Higley Knights vs. Williams Field Black Hawks
Higley was the 15-5 winner over Williams Field when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Higley Knights took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Williams Field Black Hawks on Thursday.
Paris Pinkston was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Ella Babcock was another key contributor, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
On Williams Field's side, they got a great performance from Skylar Coutts as she struck out 11 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits.
