Blanchester dropped their record down to 5-3 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 10-2 to the Batavia Bulldogs. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Wildcats, who until this match were averaging 3.5 runs allowed.

Dane Skates made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

As for Batavia, their record is now 10-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by eight runs or more this season.

On Batavia's side, the team relied heavily on Brayden Schmittou, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Schmittou a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mason Patrick, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blanchester will venture away from home to take on Goshen at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Batavia, they will head out to square off against Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
