Recap: Newcomb Skyhawks vs. Thoreau Hawks

While the Newcomb Skyhawks couldn't quite beat the Thoreau Hawks on Tuesday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 60-point loss they were dealt last Thursday. Newcomb fell just short of Thoreau by a score of 57-55. Adriano Washburn was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.

Thoreau got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elam Smith out in front who scored 17 points. As for Thoreau, they will head out on the road to challenge Navajo Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Averaging 69.67 points so far this season, Navajo Prep's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Thoreau better be ready for a challenge.
