After a string of four wins, Legacy Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 67-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Carmel School Wildcats. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (60), Legacy Academy still had to take the loss.
Legacy Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brandon Hill, who went 9 for 15 on his way to 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anderson Allen, who went 5 of 9 en route to 15 points and six assists.
Even though they lost, Legacy Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.
Leading The Carmel School to victory were Nicolo Passalacqua and Edoardo Marra. Passalacqua went 12 for 19 on his way to 26 points and eight rebounds, while Marra went 5 of 12 en route to 15 points and five steals.
