Basketball Recap: Lake Stevens Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mariner last Tuesday, Lake Stevens came back down to earth. The Lake Stevens Vikings fell just short of the Jackson Timberwolves by a score of 61-59 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Timberwolves: they've now lost five in a row.

Lake Stevens' loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Jackson, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Lake Stevens will challenge Arlington at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Arlington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Lake Stevens likes a good challenge. As for Jackson, they will take on Kamiak at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson is facing Kamiak at the right time seeing as Kamiak is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
