Baseball Recap: Sunny Hills Comes Up Short

The Sunny Hills Lancers didn't have quite enough to beat the Tustin Tillers on Saturday and fell 10-9.

Sunny Hills got a good showing from William Edwards, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Mateo Ramirez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Andre Katayama, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Sunny Hills has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season. As for Tustin, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-15-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sunny Hills will square off against Esperanza at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tustin, they will challenge Calvary Chapel at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
