Softball Recap: Lakeview Honkers vs. La Pine Hawks
Lakeview lost against La Pine back in March of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lakeview Honkers fell 9-6 to the La Pine Hawks. Lakeview has not had much luck with La Pine recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
For La Pine's part, Lindsey Moulder made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Moulder has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Moulder was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, La Pine let Jade Seymour and Cortanie Hendry loose on the outfield. Seymour scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Hendry scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Burns is coming into the contest with six straight victories at home, so La Pine will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
