Basketball Recap: Alice Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Alice can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 77-39 loss at the hands of the Cedar Park Timberwolves. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Timberwolves are ranked 37th).

Alice's defeat dropped their record down to 25-13. As for Cedar Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 28-8 record this season.

Alice does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cedar Park, they will face off against Liberty Hill on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Liberty Hill sitting on three straight victories and Cedar Park on four.
