Volleyball Recap: Coldwater Cavaliers vs. Shawnee Indians
Coldwater was the 3-0 winner over Shawnee when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cavaliers fell just short of the Indians by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Coldwater took Shawnee into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-18, 25-20, 23-25, 15-11.
Mia Knapke paced Coldwater's offense, picking up 21 kills. Knapke really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 25. Campbell Etzler controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
Coldwater's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Shawnee, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Looking ahead, Coldwater is taking a road trip to take on Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shawnee, they will challenge Kenton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
