Baseball Recap: Ballard's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Ballard had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They never let the Lakeside Lions get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Beavers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The result came thanks to Dylan Wallblom's shutout, as he gave up just four hits.

On the hitting side, Ballard saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden DePaula, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits DePaula has posted since back in May of 2024.

Ballard's record is now 12-4. As for Lakeside, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-7.

Ballard will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
