Volleyball Recap: Granite Hills Takes a Loss

Granite Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Hesperia Scorpions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scorpions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 25-16.

Hesperia found their leader in sophomore Dylanna Akwaboah, who had seven digs, three aces, and one block. Akwaboah has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 14 times she's played.

Granite Hills now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Hesperia, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granite Hills will face off against Big Bear at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hesperia, they will head out to challenge Fontana at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
