Flag Football Game Preview: Los Altos Eagles vs. Santa Clara Bruins + How To Watch

The Los Altos Eagles will take on the Santa Clara Bruins at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Los Altos' defense has only allowed 10.8 points per game this season, so Santa Clara's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Los Altos is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 38 points on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Milpitas on Monday. They had to suffer through a 45-13 loss at the hands of the Trojans. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Eagles, who until this game were averaging 10.81 points allowed.

Although Los Altos took the loss, they still got scores from Ida Amren and Sabrina Neal.

Even if they lost, Los Altos' defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Natalie Stavrakos.

Meanwhile, Santa Clara ended up a good deal behind Los Gatos on Monday and lost 34-19. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Wildcats are ranked 51st).

Santa Clara now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for Los Altos, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.

Los Altos took their win against Santa Clara when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 28-6 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Bruins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
