Baseball Game Preview: Morgan Township Cherokees vs. Kouts Mustangs & Fillies

The Morgan Township Cherokees will square off against the Kouts Mustangs & Fillies at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Morgan Township is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Morgan Township didn't have quite enough to beat Highland and fell 4-2.

Cal Lemmons was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Meanwhile, Kouts fell victim to Highland and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 1-0. The Mustangs & Fillies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Billy Miller made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Morgan Township's loss dropped their record down to 6-19-1. As for Kouts, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-6.

Morgan Township came up short against Kouts when the teams last played back in April, falling 5-1. Can the Cherokees avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
