Football Recap: Cedar Creek Christian Takes a Loss

Cedar Creek Christian fell victim to St. Joseph Academy and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Flashes 57-0. The Saints lost against the Flashes in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 42-6 score last time.

St. Joseph Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cody Ott, who threw for 90 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. What's more, Ott racked up 163.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

Cedar Creek Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Creek Christian will head out to take on Father Lopez at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Joseph Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Geneva at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
