Recap: Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers vs. Kadoka Kougars
The Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers lost against the Kadoka Kougars back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Lead-Deadwood fell 59-52 to Kadoka. Lead-Deadwood has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Among those leading the charge was Gus Stout, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Garrett Hermann was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Lead-Deadwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Kadoka, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lead-Deadwood will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on New Underwood at 3:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Hopefully New Underwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Thursday. As for Kadoka, they will head out on the road to face off against Philip at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Philip has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 186 points over their last three matches.
