Basketball Recap: DuVal Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when DuVal challenged Annapolis on Friday. The DuVal Tigers were beaten by the Annapolis Panthers 54-17. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Annapolis was led to victory by Mckenzie Fuller and Dina Smith. Fuller dropped a double-double with 11 points and 12 assists, while Smith posted 12 points and eight steals. Those 12 points gave Smith a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Audrey Skinner, who put up 12 points.

DuVal's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Annapolis, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

DuVal didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-20 defeat against Wise on the 28th. As for Annapolis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-27 loss against South River on the 22nd.
