Football Game Preview: Cienega Bobcats vs. Maricopa Rams + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Julian Hainley and Jose Cardona Jr are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Cienega Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Maricopa Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Cienega took on Desert View on Friday. The Bobcats were beaten by the Jaguars 70-35. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Cienega had strong showings from Jaden Rodgers, who picked up 212 receiving yards and two TDs, and Ayden Billings, who picked up 126 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Rodgers' longest reception was for an incredible 88 yards.

Even if they lost, Cienega's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Andrei Davis-Lopez was especially locked on to Desert View's QB and sacked him three times. Davis-Lopez has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, Maricopa entered their tilt with Nogales on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They strolled past the Apaches with points to spare, taking the game 28-9.

Maricopa's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Cienega, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
