They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-43 victory over the Grizzly Bears. That's two games straight that Akiak has won by exactly three points.
Akiak was led to victory by Angelina Gilila and Brooke Dock. Gilila dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, while Dock dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Gilila scored 15 or more points.
The victory made it two in a row for Akiak and bumps their season record up to 10-9. As for Kalskag, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
