Broaddus extended their postseason success on Thursday against Slocum. They had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on five straight.

Laila Holloway spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Montana Thacker, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Broaddus' victory bumped their record up to 8-6-1. As for Slocum, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.

Broaddus will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
