Manheim Central has gone 8-2 against Garden Spot recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Barons will take on the Spartans at 4:15 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Manheim Central and three for Garden Spot.

Last Friday, Manheim Central didn't have quite enough to beat Cedar Crest and fell 6-5.

Manheim Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zion Rolon, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Brody Groff also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Garden Spot lost 13-1 to Lampeter-Strasburg on Friday.

Garden Spot's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Manheim Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Manheim Central took their victory against Garden Spot in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Barons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
