Basketball Recap: Wheeler Skates Past Berkmar with Ease

The Wheeler Wildcats humbled the Berkmar Patriots with a 67-4 victory.

Wheeler found their leader in freshman Le'Aerea McFarland, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten steals. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Cherry, who went 6-for-10 en route to 13 points and five steals.

Wheeler was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

The win got Wheeler back to even at 1-1. As for Berkmar, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Wheeler wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 74-33 victory against East Hall on the 22nd. As for Berkmar, they have also already played their next matchup, a 42-10 defeat against Central Gwinnett on the 21st.
