Volleyball Recap: Ulysses Comes Up Short

Ulysses extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 10-18-1. They came up short against the Holcomb Longhorns, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat two weeks ago.

As for Holcomb, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 30th (when they won 3-0).

Holcomb found their leader in sophomore Delilah Galliart, who had 31 digs and one assist. Galliart has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Ulysses will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hugoton at 7:00 p.m. on the 20th. Holcomb has already played their next match (against Colby), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
