Recap: Disney II Titans vs. Intrinsic Mustangs
The Disney II Titans suffered their biggest defeat since December 5, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 42-22 defeat at the hands of Intrinsic. That's two games in a row now that Disney II has lost by exactly 20 points.
Intrinsic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but America Escalera led the charge by scoring 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyah Wiggins, who scored 16 points.
Disney II's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-8. As for Intrinsic, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Disney II will look to defend their home court on Monday against Manley at 5:00 p.m. Manley comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Intrinsic, Intrinsic and Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus will face off at 11:30 a.m. on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus: 29.1, Intrinsic: 29.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
