Soccer Recap: Evergreen Valley Takes a Loss

Evergreen Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Independence 76ers. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1112th, while the 76ers are ranked 279th).

Evergreen Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Independence, their win bumped their record up to 4-0-2.

Evergreen Valley has already played their next game (against Gilroy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Independence has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Yerba Buena.
