Baseball Game Preview: Kennebunk Rams vs. Cheverus Stags

The Kennebunk Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Cheverus Stags at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Monday just wasn't the day for Kennebunk's offense. They fell 5-0 to South Portland on Monday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Rams haven't been shut out since back in May.

Kennebunk saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Davis, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Cheverus didn't have quite enough to beat Sanford on Friday and fell 4-3. The Stags have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kennebunk has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Cheverus, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Kennebunk skirted past Cheverus 5-4 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
