Softball Game Preview: Preble Shawnee Arrows vs. Arcanum Trojans

For the first time this season, Preble Shawnee will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Arcanum Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Preble Shawnee is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game dating back to last season back in March. They lost 16-6 to Franklin. That's two games in a row now that the Arrows have lost by exactly ten runs.

Maddey Gibbs and Kinity Roberts did some serious damage despite the final result: Gibbs went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Roberts went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Arcanum didn't have quite enough to beat Miamisburg on Monday and fell 7-6.

Preble Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Arcanum, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Preble Shawnee might still be hurting after the 16-0 defeat they got from Arcanum when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Arrows avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
