Basketball Recap: Missisquoi Valley Takes a Loss

Missisquoi Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lyndon Institute Vikings. The Thunderbirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Missisquoi Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lyndon Institute, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0.

Missisquoi Valley and Lake Region will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. Lyndon Institute and Spaulding will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
