East St. Louis wins going away against Washington

Recap: East St. Louis Flyers vs. Washington Panthers

The East St. Louis Flyers had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down Washington 34-18 on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for East St. Louis who now have nine in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East St. Louis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Robert (pops) Battle, who rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Rico Bond was in the mix as well, providing East St. Louis with two touchdowns.

East St. Louis' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.8 points per game. As for Washington, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2.

East St. Louis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Washington also has no future games currently scheduled.
